What is the CCC mark?
CCC or 3C stands for China Compulsory Certificate, a compulsory certification that is required for the export of certain products to China. The most important components of the initial certification are product tests in China and the factory inspection by Chinese auditors. CCC certificates were introduced in 2002 and apply to both imported and Chinese products. It is only possible to import, sell, and use certified products in China after obtaining a China Compulsory Certification.
Imported goods that do not comply with CCC regulations will be confiscated at the border or returned to the sender. Also improper use of CCC licences or printing the CCC mark on products without certification can result in fines and penalties.
